Master and Mistress at Arms

In 2005, the Master and Mistress of Arms Competition was launched as an internal competition for EUFC members. It is a fun event that tests each competitors inter-disciplinary fencing skills; points are accrued from bouts in all three weapons.

The winner of the Ladies event wins the Kelly Price Cup. Kelly Price was an ex-Ladies' Captain that made a generous donation to the club for which the club is most grateful.

The winner of the Mens event wins Carter's Sword, that was kindly donated by Richard Carter, ex-EUFC President and now an Honorary Vice President.

Dave's Beginners' Competition

On the last wednesday of Semester 2, our Beginners' Coach Dave McBryan runs a Beginners' Competition. Open to all those who have taken part in the year's Beginners' sessions, it determines which Beginner is the creme de la creme, the bees knees of EUFC.

Foil is the weapon of choice and there is a separate competition for males and females. Run like an Open competition, there are poules and knockouts.
