Fresher's Week Social

To welcome the new freshers to Edinburgh, EUFC hosts a freshers week social. It usually takes place after the last day of the Sports Union Fair and it's a night of banter and bonding as the freshers get to meet the older members of the club.

Club Christmas Dinner

To celebrate the end of Semester 1 and to prepare ourselves for the upcoming exam period, EUFC hosts its Christmas Dinner. There is usually much alcohol involved and speeches from the President and two Captains are mostly incoherent. It is a great laugh and the Social Secretary will be sending e-mails and putting posters around the club as Christmas approaches.

The Sports Union Ball

The Edinburgh University Sports Union Ball is THE social event of the University Sports year. The night is always filled with beer, banter, and shenanigans; the wine flows as freely as a highland spring; and the conversation… Well, it tends to make sense until around ten, then everything becomes slightly hazy...

This year's Ball will once again be held in the wonderful settings of Murrayfield Stadium on Thursday 1st February 2007. If you would like to go to the Ball please get in contact with Mags as soon as possible.

Other social events

There are other social events that take place during the year. The club tends to go out for dinner after each of the SUS competitions and the BUSA Qualifiers. A Karaoke night has been organised in the past as have group trips to the Highland Annual at Teviot where there is much ceilidh dancing.
