Zbigniew Czajkowski - Zbigniew Czajkowski (b.1921) fenced for the University during his time studying Medicine at Edinburgh. It was after his time at University when that he had international success. In 1950 he became the first post-war Polish National Champion, and represented Poland internationally. As a coach he has had much success. He has coached a number of medal winning Olympic fencers. In 1996, his student Magdalena Jeziorowska became European Women's Epee Champion.
